Hi everyone! Today’s blog is about how to use also correctly. It’s a nice mini lesson for you where we break down the meaning and provide example sentences. Let’s get started.

ALSO position in a sentence:

1.after BE:

I am also American.

Tiffany is also allergic to cats.

 

2.before the main verb:

I’ve also read Pride and Prejudice.

You can also order these shoes online.

 

3.at the start of a sentence:

Also, please remember to bring your passport.

I have to get a National Insurance Number as soon as possible. Also, I have to find a room before the end of the month.

 

4.at the end of a sentence:

You can do it also.

You can use the post office as a bank also.

 

(ALSO can be in many positions, but if you always use position #1 or #2, you can’t go wrong.)
