What is a pronoun?
First, what is a pronoun?
A noun is something – a cup, a doughnut, a dog, a tree…
A noun can also be abstract – love, happiness, memory…
A pronoun represents a noun.

Subject pronouns do the action:
I love coffee.
You live in Barcelona.
He plays football every day.
She has two cats.
It is old.

What is an object pronoun?

An object pronoun receives the action.

My teacher gave I a book.
Tina likes you.
☑The class sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to him.
The class sang ‘happy birthday’ to he.
I spoke to her.
Lightning hit it.
This cake is for us.
This cake is for them.
